Become a Vendor
To become a vendor at the Anza Farmers Market in Anza, California, you’ll need to meet specific requirements and follow certain procedures.
- Product Eligibility:
- The market welcomes a variety of vendors, including artisans, crafters, farmers, and food vendors.
- All products must be grown, raised, or produced by the vendor. Reselling items purchased from others is prohibited.
- Permits and Certifications:
- Agricultural Vendors: To sell as a “Certified Producer,” you must obtain a Certified Producer’s Certificate (CPC) from the Riverside County Agricultural Commissioner. This ensures that all produce sold is grown by the vendor. Through this database you can apply to be a certified producer: CDFA CFM Program.
- Food Vendors: All prepared or packaged food must be produced in a certified commercial kitchen or an approved home kitchen. Vendors are required to have a valid health permit from RivCo Health Dept. Cottage Food Permits (Home Kitchens) If you prepare food in a home kitchen, you must obtain a Cottage Food Operation (CFO) permit from the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health.
- Organic Claims: If you market your products as “Organic,” you must provide a copy of your California State Organic Registration.
- Artisans & Crafters: Vendors selling non-food items are responsible for maintaining a valid California Seller’s Permit.
- Class A (Direct Sales): Best for selling directly to customers at our market. Requires a self-certification checklist (no physical inspection). Class B (Direct & Indirect): Required if you also plan to sell your products to local shops or restaurants. Requires an annual physical inspection.

Rules of the Market
🚛 Arrival, Setup & Parking
- Market Hours: Sellers must arrive 1 hour before opening and depart within 1 hour after closing.
- Unloading: You may drive onto the fenced field to unload. You must move your vehicle to the vendor parking area (south fence or outside the east/west gates) before setting up your display.
- Product Placement: All produce must be displayed at least 6 inches off the ground.
- Signage: All certified producers must display a sign with their Farm Name, County, and the phrase: “We Grow What We Sell.”
💰 Fees & Daily Requirements
- 2026 Daily Fees: $20 per space for Farmers, Food Vendors, and Crafters/Artisans.
- Daily Paperwork: Fee slips and Load Lists (identifying each item and quantity sold) must be turned in to the Manager at the end of every market day.
- Cancellations: Please text Market Manager Annika Knoppel at 951-234-1314 at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot attend.
🧺 Quality & Safety
- Product Quality: Only high-quality produce may be sold. The Manager may remove poor-quality items from display.
- Scales: Only certified scales (compliant with Dept. of Weights and Measures) are permitted and must be in plain sight of the customer.
- Safety: Booths must be secured and not obstruct pedestrian traffic.
- Organic Labeling: Products may only be advertised as “Organic” if they are officially certified and listed on your paperwork.
🌍 Cleanliness & Conduct
- Trash Policy: Vendors must keep their space clean and take all trash home. AFM bins are for customers only. No dumping of fluids (except water/ice) is allowed.
- Sustainability: We encourage the use of reusable or biodegradable bags and containers to reduce plastic waste.
- Professionalism: Smoking, alcohol, and illicit drugs are strictly forbidden. Vendors are expected to treat customers, staff, and other sellers with respect.
- Weather: We are a “Rain or Shine” market, but the Manager may close the market for safety during extreme heat, wind, or rain.
📋 Permits & Documentation
- Certified Producers: Sellers of certifiable produce must be certified by the county where the goods are grown. A legible copy of all certificates and permits must be submitted to the Market Manager before selling.
- Food Vendors: Must have all necessary certificates from the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health displayed at all times.
- Sales Tax: Vendors of taxable items are independently responsible for all sales tax collection and accounting.
- Promotional Vendors: If you are not selling merchandise, you are exempt from a CA Seller’s Permit but must have a CDTFA-410-D form on file.
